EZ Armor is total door security made easy.  It takes only 30 minutes to install the full set.

 

The EZ Armor Door Security Set set comes with an EZ Armor Jamb Shield, 2 EZ Armor Hinge Shields and 2 Mini Door Shields. The EZ Armor Jamb Shield and EZ Armor Hinge Shields attach to the face of the door jamb and can be applied without removing the door or entirely removing the trim.

 

The EZ Armor Jamb Shield is 48 inches long and has holes cut to fit locks that are spaced from 4.5  to 21.5 inches apart. Our Jamb Shield has a 45% bend that makes it easier to install and is made out of 16 gauge galvanized steel (It will not rust).  It also has knock-out holes, which allow for multiple locks and non-standard lock spacing but allow you to punch out only the holes that you want to show.  The powder coated finish  is both attractive and durable.

 

The Mini Door Shields are effective in helping to prevent the door from splitting but do not require the removal of the locks for installation and can be used without concern for the lock backset. The EZ Armor Hinge Shields offer hinge protection without requiring removal of the trim.

 

This set offers ultimate door security in an easy to install package. EZ Armor can also be used to repair the damage from an existing kick-in. The EZ Armor Combo Set receives our Gold Protection designation for its ability to effectively secure all of the key strike points on a door.

The EZ Armor Combo Set takes approximately 30 minutes to installed. Basic handy skills are more than enough. You will need a drill, a philips screwdriver bit and an 11/64-inch drill bit. Please note that an older version of EZ Armor was used in this video. The newer version has knock-out holes, which look nicer when installed. view the video below.

Barbara, our EZ Armor product will do a great job protecting your home. The majority of burglaries are caused by kick-ins occurring in a matter of seconds. Burglars are looking for quick, easy access to your home – they typically aren’t going to shatter glass to gain entry. Let us know if you any further questions!

Barbara, you might have to go with a shorter screw. I had a similar installation on my front door. This is probably something EZ Armor could help out with. I love mine. I even tried to break in once I installed it. SOLID!

I assume that you mean a metal door with a wood jamb. If this is the case then the answer is yes. This is the most common kind of door. Make sure to use all of the components. Even a steel door will split if the door shields are not used. Please let us know if you have more questions. Thanks.
