Creating these door security solutions was a labor of love! Doors with side lights are very difficult to secure because there is no stud to help anchor the Jamb and Hinge Shields. Our door jamb reinforcement solution uses multiple pieces to secure the door to the jamb and the jamb to the rough frame of the house.
Any company that would tell customers that side light doors can be secured in the same way as a single entry door either does not care or has no clue. Armor Concepts manufactures the only side light door security solutions on the market, perhaps you should ask the competition where they fall. Our patent is pending on this design.
EZ Armor Hinge side light door application is designed for doors with a single sidelight on the hinge side of the door. Fits doors with a side light on the hinge side of the door, a standard jamb (any thickness) on the lock side of the door.
EZ Armor Jamb Shield does not require removal of the trim to install. Comes with mini door shields so lock backset is not a concern.

EZ Armor Lock Side Light door application is designed for doors with one sidelight on the lock side of the door.
Our side light solution for jamb protection is a 40-inch jamb shield that secures the lock area of the jamb . Since there is no stud to secure the jamb, the side light jamb shield screws back into the face of the jamb.
Please note: You will need to remove the trim on the lock side of the door in order to install this product.
The Lock Side Light EZ Armor includes EZ Armor hinge shields for the hinge side of the door.

Our Double Side Light door application is designed for doors with side lights on both sides of the door.
Our side light solution for jamb protection is a 40-inch jamb shield that secures the lock area of the jamb. Since there is no stud to secure the jamb, the side light jamb shield screws back into the face of the jamb.
The hinge side protection also helps secure the door to the top and bottom door frame. Side light doors are secured to the frame with small nails so it is essential to secure the door to the frame.

What exactly is the recent update for easier installation of the Double Sidelight Reinforcement Kit? Thank you.
Tom, good question. We’ve eliminated the need to remove upper door trim by altering the reinforcement pieces included in the kit. The redesigned kit includes one center jam shield, two hinge shields, and two mini door shields to reinforce the major points of the door.
I have a front door with 2 side lights, upper half of the door is leaded glass as is the 2 side lights. Will the double side light reinforcement kit be all I need to protect against front door break-in’s?
Do you need to remove any trim to install double side light kit? Also is there a detail instructions available online for the double side light kit?
I believe this problem should be fixed. Thank you for all of your comments. Please let us know if you have any further issues.
Why is the double side-light kit $30 more than the EZ Armor (single door) kit when the hardware is essentially the same or less?
